We are launching our '222 - Sign up to Support SBSS' campaign in 2022. We would like 222 people to sign up to donate just £2 a month to our JustGiving page. This would raise an amazing £5,328 a year for the service! Last year we offered 197 support sessions, and demand for the service grows year on year.
Shetland Bereavement Support Service is a small charity providing free and confidential bereavement support to adults and children. SBSS receives NO statutory funding. Due to COVID19 restrictions SBSS has been unable to fundraise with the usual soup & sweet events, and your support is needed to keep the service going.
How I felt and what was achieved during the sessions far exceeded my expectations. It has helped me so much. So grateful for the service provided and feel lucky to have received such amazing help and support. Thank you.
To minimise running costs, the service is delivered by volunteers who are fully trained to deliver specialist bereavement support. However, there are still running costs and other expenses incurred by the service to ensure it runs safely and professionally.
